Geraldine Christmas Parade 2025 – Information and Entry Form

Friday 5th December

Start Time: 6:30 prompt

Assembly: Line up from 5:30 to 6:00pm on Hislop Street. Please be ready on time.

Big Vehicles should turn onto Hislop Street from Peel or Wilson Street and will be held in the section of Hislop Street between Wilson and Cox Street. Please note you will be at the back of the parade.

Judging: Guest judges will assess and judge the floats during the parade in the Domain. Winners will also be announced in the Geraldine News the following week.

Award Categories: Best Family Focus / Best Christmas Spirit / Most Enterprising

Theme:

SANTA’S WORKSHOP

Entrants are encouraged to adopt the theme, or be festive, but not compulsory!

After Parade: Parade ends on Peel Street, return to Hislop Street, or head home.

The Santa lollies and best float prize giving will take place in the domain with prizes sponsored by the Geraldine Village Inn.

Terms and Conditions

  • NO ALCOHOL
  • No hanging off vehicles or floats
  • No Passengers to be picked up enroute
  • No stopping, keep moving slowly
  • Maintain a minimum of 2 meters between vehicles/ floats
  • No overtaking!
  • Seatbelts to be worn in vehicles (where available)
  • Nothing protruding from vehicles/ floats
  • NO THROWING ANYTHING from the float (e.g. water balloons, lollies).
  • Limit of 2 vehicles of any one type please (e.g. 2 cars, 2 tractors) per entry.
  • This event will not be cancelled (unless it snows! or dangerous weather)
